Sustainability

  • How do you make sure the products are sustainable?

To make products truly sustainable, we do our best to find manufacturers in Europe or as close as possible to it. However, some products cannot be locally resourced, that is why we also focus on organic and 100% recyclable materials. We also check the manufacturers’ certifications and control the production site to confirm that the whole manufacturing process is sustainable.

  • How do you ensure that the packing and delivery process is sustainable?

Instead of using only new boxes and filling material, we like to reuse boxes and material we already have to prevent them from going to waste. Before we reuse the boxes, we remove the old labels and only add paper tape to seal them. Our filing material is made of kraft paper or shredded old paper. Our brochure is made from recycled paper. Our brand sticker is paper-based. We also use a few shipping options that offset the carbon footprint. Plus, we plant a tree with Tree-Nation for every order to make sure we are offsetting the shipping emissions.

  •  All Beewise's products are 100% plastic-free?

We focus on providing you with plastic-free alternatives for all your daily-use products. Almost 100% of our products are plastic-free. The only exception? The bamboo toothbrush bristles. We still didn’t find a supplier with good quality, plastic-free and vegan bristles. We believe we cannot simply switch the plastic bristles that are still more efficient in our oral hygiene than a plastic-free option. We will only do that when we will be sure about the brushing quality as well. In any case, the plastic bristles are recyclable.

And looking for a local material to produce our soap dishes, we decided to design a soap dish made of recycled plastic from Amsterdam’s waste. It is the most sustainable solution we found for a product that can last much longer in a humid environment than wood or bamboo. Plus, it is produced locally with a local resource (waste). We will always do our best to find the most sustainable option for all products we offer.
  •  Is the packaging recyclable and also home compostable?

Many companies focus on offering sustainable products but forget to take the packaging into consideration. For example, having a plastic window or using bleached paper. We aim to provide the customer with a whole zero waste experience. All our packaging is made of kraft paper that is 100% recyclable and can also be home composted.

 

Why kraft paper? Because it is produced from all-natural ingredients such as pulp from all types of wood, while conventional paper uses specific woods. Bleaching is not involved, where toxic chemicals are used and pose serious risks to the environment. Kraft paper is also a lightweight packaging material that helps keep a lower shipping emission.

 

Orders

  • My order did not arrive

You will receive a confirmation email once your order has shipped with your tracking number. If you didn’t receive it in one full working day period, please send us an email.

  •  I forgot to add something to my order, should I make a new one?

Please contact us about this issue, and we will send you a code to add to your order so you don't need to pay twice for shipping.

  • How can I return my order?

Our return policy lasts for 30 days. We can only offer you a refund or exchange up to 30 days from the day you've received the item.

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return the product and get a full refund or exchange the product for another one, be it similar or not. The item must be returned unused, undamaged and in original packaging to issue a full refund.

Once your return is received, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. After your refund is processed, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a few days.

  •  Who will pay for the return shipping costs?

Beewise will pay for the return costs. We will send you the shipping label for the return.

  •  How can I adjust or cancel my order?

If we still didn’t ship it, you can send an email to us with everything you need to change or cancel.

 

Shipping

  • What courier do you use?

 If the destination is close to our storage, we deliver your order by bike on the next day. Otherwise, we use the services of PostNL, DHL or DPD.

  •  How long does it take until my order arrives?

The orders are processed within 1 business day. Orders are not shipped or delivered on Sundays or during bank holidays. After being processed, items usually take 1-3 business days to arrive at their destination within the Netherlands and 2-6 business days in other European countries. Every shipping has a Track & Trace so you can follow it easily.

  • How much does shipping cost?

The shipping charge will be calculated and displayed on the checkout page. Currently, it is €4.95 inside the Netherlands. For other destinations: €9 for Belgium, €10 for AustriaCzechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden, and €15 for Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom. For the rest of the world it is €21.50. Free shipping for orders over 50€ in the Netherlands and 90€ in Europe.
